Zurich Area | Clinical-Stage Biotech
Our client is an innovative clinical-stage biotechnology company developing next-generation vaccines and infectious disease programs. Following a period of strong growth and increased investment, they are expanding their Clinical Operations team and seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Project Manager.
This is a highly visible role offering broad responsibility across clinical development activities. Unlike traditional project management positions in large pharmaceutical companies, this opportunity combines clinical strategy, study design, operational leadership, and hands-on trial execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Phase I-II clinical studies from planning through execution and closeout.
- Contribute to protocol development, study design, and clinical development planning.
- Manage CROs, vendors, laboratories, and external partners.
- Drive study timelines, quality, budget, and operational delivery.
- Support regulatory and ethics submissions.
- Ensure compliance with ICH-GCP and applicable regulations.
- Collaborate closely with clinical, scientific, regulatory, and medical stakeholders.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful study delivery.
Candidate Profile
- Master’s or PhD in Life Sciences or a related discipline.
- Several years of Clinical Operations or Clinical Project Management experience within biotech or pharma.
- Proven experience leading clinical studies from startup through closeout.
- Strong understanding of ICH-GCP and clinical development processes.
- Experience managing CROs and external vendors.
- Hands-on approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experienced in
- Vaccines, infectious diseases, immunology, or related therapeutic areas.
- Phase I-II clinical development.
- Protocol development and study design.
- Experience working in agile, clinical-stage biotech environments.
