Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Medical Writer to lead the development and execution of high-impact, top-tier scientific communication strategies. This role is ideal for a seasoned medical affairs or scientific communications leader with a strong track record of delivering publications in leading journals (e.g., BMJ).

This is a strategic and hands-on consultancy role, requiring excellence in writing, storytelling, and stakeholder leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Scientific Leadership

• Lead the development of high-quality, evidence-based scientific communications across the rare disease space
• Shape scientific narratives for top-tier publications, congresses, and external engagements
• Provide strategic oversight for publication plans, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations

Publications & Content Excellence

• Writing and managing end-to-end development of manuscripts targeting high-impact journals (e.g., BMJ, Lancet-level outputs)
• Ensure scientific accuracy, clarity, and consistency across all deliverables
• Maintain best-in-class writing standards aligned with global medical affairs expectations

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Advanced degree (PhD, MD, PharmD, or equivalent)
• Extensive experience in medical affairs or scientific publication roles
• Proven track record of publishing in top-tier journals (e.g., BMJ, NEJM, Lancet or equivalent)
• Strong experience in manuscript development and publication strategy
• Demonstrated excellence in scientific writing and storytelling
