Business Development Manager Central Switzerland
Description
For a dynamic and innovative orthopaedic medical technology company, we are currently looking for a Business Development Manager who will drive growth across joint reconstruction in Central Switzerland. Their focus will be on expanding strategic customer relationships, developing new business opportunities and positioning a modern orthopaedic portfolio in a competitive clinical environment. In addition to working closely with Product Management and Medical Education, you’re responsible for managing complex hospital accounts, supporting clinical adoption and building long-term partnerships with key decision-makers.
Responsibilities
- Own business development and commercial growth across orthopaedic joint reconstruction in Central Switzerland.
- Build, manage and expand strategic relationships with hospitals, surgeons, KOLs and senior decision-makers.
- Identify and execute growth opportunities through account development, portfolio expansion, new customer acquisition, upselling and cross-selling.
- Lead complex product evaluations, negotiations and customer conversions in a clinical environment.
- Manage pipeline development, forecasting, opportunity tracking and structured market analysis.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, Medical Education and Operations to ensure effective regional market execution.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in sales, business development or key account management within medical devices, ideally in orthopaedics.
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows, hospital structures and decision-making processes in the Swiss healthcare market.
- Experience with orthopaedic solutions across shoulder, knee, hip or comparable reconstruction portfolios.
- Proven track record in developing customer relationships, driving revenue growth and managing complex sales processes.
- Strong negotiation skills, high ownership and a structured, performance-oriented working style.
- Fluent German and English is required
