Senior Scientist Protein Selection and Screening

Our client is an innovative biotech startup and is seeking a Senior Research Scientist to revolutionize biotherapeutics. This is an exciting opportunity to develop next-generation drug candidates in a cutting-edge research environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish new methods or optimizations
• Deliver high-quality therapeutic leads using advanced selection techniques
• Contribute to innovation to push the boundaries of science
• Analyse and interpret data to present findings to the team and management
• Ensure precision in experiments and lab equipment care

Requirements

• MSc in Life Sciences, Biology, biochemistry or similar 
• 5+ years of relevant experience in the selection and screening of binding proteins
• Strong experience in selection, screening of binding proteins, and protein expression (experience with RNA/ribosome display is a plus
• Familiar with using ELISA, Flow Cytometry or SPR method
• Experience with Western Blotting, Cross-Reactivity testing, thermal stability, cell-based assays, Toxicity Studies and/or Immunogenicity Testing
• Affinity to precise and clean workin
• Ability to independently and proactively design experiments to verify or falsify hypotheses, critical thinking

Location: Zurich, hybrid – 3 days on site
