Senior Director Medical Clinical Development 

We are looking for a Medical Director, Clinical Development to support a commercial-stage Swiss pharmaceutical company focusing on innovative medicines for rare diseases. The company is currently launching their first commercial product.

Reporting Directly to the Head of Development, in collaboration with other great minds, you are taking critical decisions and adapting quickly while developing clinical programs across multiple therapeutic areas. Foreseeing outcomes like a chess expert, you are using deep medical and clinical development knowledge to build future key pipeline opportunities and collaborating with multiple stakeholders. 

Due to the fast-paced and constantly changing landscape, we are looking for someone ready to act independently, readily to develop innovative solutions, and effectively to drive projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

_Drive the development and execution of clinical development strategies 
_Provide strategic guidance to cross-functional teams to ensure successful program delivery. – 
_Lead the design, implementation, and management of clinical development plans 
_Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize trial designs and study protocols.
_Provide medical expertise and oversight throughout all stages of clinical development, 
_Analyze clinical trial data to generate insights 
_Interface with regulatory agencies to support product development activities
_Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams
_Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and external experts 
_Proactively identify and mitigate clinical development risks. 
_Develop risk management strategies to ensure the successful execution of clinical programs.

REQUIREMENTS 

_Medical Doctor (MD) or equivalent degree with a preference for a candidate with a background in immunology
_Significant experience in clinical development within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
_Proven track record of successful development of and leadership of global clinical development programs.
_Ability to effectively collaborate across global teams and diverse stakeholders.
_Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 
_Strategic thinking with the ability to translate scientific insights into actionable clinical development strategies.
