Sales Manager, Italy (Diabetes – CGM/Medical Devices)
Location: Milan or Rome, Italy
Contract: Full-time
Work setup: Field-based
Our client is an international medical device company in the diabetes space (CGM), expanding its direct presence in Italy. They are looking for a hands-on, commercially driven leader to take the market from distributor-led to direct sales, build strong stakeholder relationships, and lay the foundation for future team growth.
Responsibilities
- Own and accelerate the Italian market expansion, shifting from distributor to direct sales
- Drive commercial strategy and execution across key accounts (hospitals, decision-makers, and diabetes networks)
- Lead and support the tender process in Italy, from preparation to submission and follow-up
- Build and nurture relationships with KOLs/KOCs and key stakeholders in the diabetes landscape
- Establish the local structure “0 to 1” and help shape the business plan, team setup, and growth roadmap
Requirements
- Proven sales track record in Italy as a Senior Territory Manager, Regional Sales Manager, or similar (direct sales)
- Strong diabetes background (CGM, BGM, insulin pumps, or related diabetes technologies)
- Solid understanding of the Italian tender environment and how to win in complex market access settings
- Leadership mindset: management experience or clear drive and capability to grow into management while staying hands-on
- Fluent Italian and English; Ideally based in/near Milan or Rome
