Our client is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing innovative therapies in the areas of Endocrinology (EPI), Obesity, and Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH).
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Medical Claims and Promotional Materials Advisor to serve in a consultant capacity. This individual will be responsible for performing a thorough gap assessment of existing promotional content, and providing expert medical and regulatory evaluations to ensure compliance with relevant country-specific regulations. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of medical communications and a strong grasp of regulatory standards governing promotional claims in the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a comprehensive assessment of current promotional and medical materials across therapeutic areas.
- Evaluate promotional claims for medical accuracy and scientific integrity.
- Review materials for regulatory compliance based on regional guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA, or applicable national authorities).
- Provide recommendations for revisions and updates to ensure alignment with industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to translate regulatory and scientific requirements into clear, actionable feedback.
Required Qualifications:
- Medical Doctor (MD) qualification (mandatory).
- Proven experience working in medical communications, especially within pharmaceutical or biotech settings.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for promotional materials in relevant markets (e.g., US, EU, etc.).
- Ability to critically evaluate promotional content from both a scientific and compliance perspective.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Independent consultant with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable working cross-functionally with regulatory, medical, and commercial teams.
- Familiarity with therapeutic areas such as EPI, Obesity, or PAH is a plus.
