Life Sciences Business & Technical Consultant (Freelance)

We are looking for an experienced business consultant with a strong technical background to support life science projects on a freelance basis. Our client supports business strategy, operations, and technical areas, spanning market assessments, process optimization, and technical strategy for drug substance (API) and drug products. Specialised in advanced therapeutics such as RNA, oligonucleotides, peptides, and small molecules.

What you’ll work on:

• Review and design strategies for CMC, process development, and manufacturing
• Assess markets and partnerships, prepare risk and value analyses
• Analyze operations, identify bottlenecks, and propose improvements
• Apply Lean Six Sigma metholod

What you need:

• Degree in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology, or similar
• Experience in drug substance or drug product (e.g., oligonucleotides, RNA, peptides, small molecules)
• Business understanding and ability to work independently
• Fluent English, German is helpful

Engagement details:

• Project-based, paid per hour (milestone or deliverable)
• Remote with occasional travel within Europe and to Basel
