Finance Accountant

Location: Basel

We’re supporting a growing life sciences company in the search for a Finance Accountant with strong expertise in Accounts Payable. This role plays a key part in financial operations, contributing to daily processes, month-end closing, and ongoing system improvements.

Your Tasks: 

• Manage invoice processing: booking, validating, and payment release
• Prepare weekly cash-out planning, payment reports, and bank reconciliations
• Maintain and reconcile AP ledger accounts
• Track and follow up purchase orders
• Support monthly accruals and employee expense report bookings
• Assist with internal and external audit documentation
• Contribute to VAT reporting and intra-group accounting alignment
• Support finance team during monthly closings
• Participate in system implementation projects (SAP Hana, Concur)

 
Your Profile:

• 2–5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles
• Strong background in AP, general accounting, and VAT
• Proficient in SAP and MS Excel; Hyperion and PowerPoint are a plus
• Experience working with multi-currency environments
• Detail-oriented, organized, and solution-driven
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
