Automation Engineer, Basel
We are supporting a rapidly growing and innovation-driven CDMO in their search for an experienced Automation Engineer.
As Automation Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the technical reliability of automation, instrumentation, and control systems in a regulated GMP environment.

Responsibilities:
- Define Control Systems/E&I/OT policies, standards, and systems for the site.
- Ensure compliance with external regulations and internal policies, including calibration, installation, qualification, and safety.
- Formulate an asset lifecycle management plan for control systems to ensure high equipment availability and reliability.
- Manage CS documentation and spares, ensuring knowledge preservation and operational efficiency.
- Oversee third-party service providers, ensuring execution meets expectations.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of Chemical Manufacturing Processes
- GMP experience in Pharmaceutical or Chemical environments
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation or a related technical field.
- Proven track record (5+ years) of managing control systems (CS), MSRT, E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation), and/or OT (Operational Technology) within a regulated industry (e.g., cGMP, HSE).
- In-depth knowledge of MSRT, control systems (e.g., ABB, Siemens), COMOS, PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems.
- German fluent/professional
