Clinical Project Lead

We are seeking an experienced and scientifically driven clinical operations leader to take ownership of a portfolio of global clinical programs, with a particular focus on emerging markets. This senior role will oversee other Clinical Project Managers and ensure operational excellence from study start-up to close-out.

Your Tasks:

• Lead, manage, and mentor Clinical Project Managers, providing strategic direction and operational oversight.
• Oversee the execution of multiple clinical trials, including those in African markets and in the field of tropical diseases.
• Serve as the main escalation point for operational challenges, ensuring rapid resolution and stakeholder alignment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical Operations, Safety, Regulatory, Data Management, and Biometrics.
• Ensure all clinical activities meet ICH-GCP, local regulatory, and internal SOP requirements.
• Drive risk assessment, mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives across the portfolio.
• Prepare concise project status reports and present updates to senior leadership.
• Support departmental planning, resourcing, and budget management.

Your Profile:

• Advanced degree: MD, PhD, or Master’s in Life Sciences, Medicine, or related discipline.
• 8+ years’ experience in clinical project management within pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO settings.
• Proven leadership experience managing other Project Managers or large, complex study teams.
• Strong track record of delivering multi-country clinical trials, ideally in African markets and in tropical disease indications.
• Expert knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and regulatory frameworks.
