Regional Business Manager – Southern Europe

Type of Employment: Full-time

Location: Ideally based in Italy

POSITION OVERVIEW This is a senior commercial position focused on the management and development of distributor relationships across Southern Europe, with a primary focus on Italy and Greece, and additional oversight of surrounding markets including the Balkans.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in capital equipment sales, preferably in urology or surgical robotics, and will be adept at navigating both clinical and commercial environments.

This is not a pure sales role — it requires a strategic, hands-on leader who can own regional performance and shape the future go-to-market model.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and support existing distributor partnerships in Italy, Greece, and neighbouring countries
  • Serve as the main point of contact for key distribution partners 
  • Drive regional performance by supporting sales initiatives, managing forecasts, and ensuring distributor alignment with company objectives
  • Identify and capitalise on growth opportunities within the region
  • Evaluate and support potential transitions in go-to-market strategies, including the feasibility of moving to direct sales in selected territories
  • Serve as a trusted partner to both internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Conduct regular field visits and provide commercial and clinical support when needed
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, clinical, and operational teams
  • Provide market insights and contribute to regional strategic planning

 

REQUIREMENTS  

Professional Background

  • Proven track record in capital sales within the MedTech industry
  • Experience in urology, surgical robotics, or related fields strongly preferred
  • Previous responsibility for managing distributor networks or regional sales operations
  • Ability to engage with clinical stakeholders such as surgeons and hospital decision-makers
  • Commercially astute with a deep understanding of regional market dynamics

Education & Language Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering or related field
  • Business fluency in English; Italian and Greek language skills are a strong plus
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the region (up to 50–60%)
