Your Mission As an Automation Engineer PCS7, you’ll be a driving force behind automation projects, particularly in Expansion projects, helping to create a seamless bridge between production and automation. You’ll work closely with end users, fine-tune processes, and actively shape the future of automation internally.
What You’ll Do
- Lead & support Siemens PCS7 automation projects
- Own & optimise SIMATIC Batch processes, performing small-scale programming & adjustments.
- Act as the process owner for automation topics, supporting production teams & ensuring smooth operations.
- Test, validate, and fine-tune automation systems for long-term efficiency.
- Help establish PCS7 knowledge
- Support IT/OT integration – configure network connections & IP addressing for automated systems.
- Work hands-on in commissioning (Inbetriebnahme) and continuous system improvements.
- Engage with shop-floor teams, providing expert insights and ensuring seamless integration.
What You Bring
- Min 3+ years of hands-on experience in Siemens PCS7 & SIMATIC Batch.
- Strong programming & troubleshooting skills (small-scale modifications & optimisation’s).
- GxP/GMP experience in pharma or regulated industries preferred.
- IT/OT network integration knowledge (understanding IP addressing, system architecture) is a great plus.
- Commissioning (Inbetriebnahme) experience, you know how to get systems running smoothly.
- Ability to work independently, you’re proactive, solution-oriented, and can take ownership.
- Bonus: Experience with Process Analytical Technology (PAT) & reading electrical schematics.
- English Fluent (project language), German technical understanding a big plus (motivation to learn German is welcomed)
