Technical Director / CTO

Our client is an early-stage Swiss biotech in regenerative medicine / cell-based therapy, moving from successful early clinical safety data to building a commercially viable, scalable manufacturing platform. This is a hands-on leadership role to set up and run the in-house technical program focused on 3D cultivation.

Responsibilities

• Build and operationalize the Lausanne R&D lab (equipment selection, setup, and day-to-day technical execution)
• Lead development and optimization of 3D expansion in bioreactors 
• Drive the R&D program 
• Own the CMC strategy and documentation for the evolving manufacturing process

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in cell therapy / ATMP process development 
• Proven expertise in 3D cell culture, scale-up principles
• Solid understanding of GMP and CMC expectations (EMA/FDA/Swissmedic exposure is a plus)
• Track record of translating R&D into robust processes.
