Clinical Scientist (Contract – 18 Months)

Location: Basel (Hybrid)


We are supporting our client, a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to advancing treatments for rare diseases in both children and adults. They are looking for a Clinical Scientist who will support the coordination, execution, and oversight of an ongoing clinical trial. This includes close interaction with CROs, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. The position is ideal for someone with solid biotech/pharma experience who is comfortable navigating clinical development in a fast-moving, rare-disease environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the scientific and operational conduct of Phase II/III clinical studies
• Interpret and implement clinical trial protocols and study plans
• Oversee CRO deliverables and ensure alignment with regulatory and compliance standards
• Contribute to data review, analysis, and interpretation
• Collaborate with clinical operations, medical, regulatory, and other internal functions to ensure smooth study execution
• Maintain high-quality documentation and provide scientific input across the study lifecycle

Qualifications

• PhD in a life sciences field
• Experience with Phase II/III clinical trials
• Strong background in clinical research and study management
• Proven experience working with and overseeing CROs
• Previous experience in the biopharmaceutical industry is mandatory
